We were trying to come up ideas to make the event newsworthy. In most cases, press releases for charitable events are not picked up. I had an idea and I would like some help fleshing out the idea. At a date close to our event, we would hold "A Protest against ALS" I would have several groups of people on highway overpasses at rush hour. (Overpasses with sidewalks ) We would not block traffic just be there. They would have banners like "ALS killed my husband", "ALS is killing me" "Honk for a Cure" etc We would have signs promoting our charity event. Each location would have spokesperson and an PALS person in wheelchair. The spokesperson would have speaking points for an interview. I'm in Denver so there are rush hour reporters who would be available to report. I took inspiration from the "Act-Up" site but don't plan to break the law. What is your first reaction? How could I improve the event? I had considered holding in on Valentine's Day. What are your opinions holding it on t
